The COVID-19 pandemic has changed how CILs and SILCs are supporting consumers and meeting the needs of their communities. As most centers aim to provide all services remotely during this time, the initial transition of appropriately utilizing technology can be a challenge.
Free COVID-19 testing is now available in Illinois. All sites offer drive-through testing, and some also offer walk-up testing. Testing is open to all regardless of symptoms, no appointment necessary, no medical insurance necessary, no referral needed, and available for individuals of all ages.
